Dear Members,
At tonight’s WCPSS board meeting some extraordinary decisions were made that will affect Wake County children for a long time. It is time for us to be involved and be vigilant. While there is much to be said about the meeting, I urge you to become informed professionals.
I can say that I was extremely proud of our membership as many of you spoke about Wake Wednesdays, diversity, and our willingness to work with the school board. I was equally proud when our group, of about 30, respectfully left the board room in protest.
I know that no matter what buses will run, teachers will teach, and meals will be served. You will be professionals and children will learn like they do everyday.
Wake NCAE will be having our regular RA meeting on Wednesday, December 9th at 4:30 at the NCAE building on Salisbury Street, all members are welcome. Be present for the next action steps. Continue to serve our children with the love and honor they deserve. We are all Wake County Educators, children come first. Thank you for all you do.
